ALLOW EVERYONE TO FILE I485 SHOULD BE OUR NUMBER ONE PRIORITY.
You people already have filed 485 and have EAD. EAD gives you so much freedom . It is as good as a green card.
What about people who are less fortunate and cannot file II485. We need to allow everyone to be on the same page first and enjoy EAD freedom.
That should be our priority before any country limits or this thread action item
Everybody waited for a fair time before they got there EAD's. None of us got the EAD on day one. So don't try to mix all the issues into one.
I support this initivative.

I would like to Thank you for being a savior during this time of distress for thousands of you. Greatly appreciate all your hard work and efforts for teh job well done. This does not mean we will not be seeing any approvals now. USICS might have assigned the visa numbers to lot of pending EB2 I-485 applications. They will be adjudicating those cases in few days. So folks keep the faith , keep bugging USCIS (call them day and night) and check immigrationvoice.org every 2 minutes and also don't forget to check your emails and uscis.gov website for CRIS updates every minute :eek:

Sounds fishy, EB2 India China was over long back what they are using is EB1 & Eb2 from ROW to allocate to India China.

Leadership can't be demanded/begged from other people. Either you lead or if not ... then just pray that others will.
I think it can be demanded or requested. The people who have the role of the admin or have control over the forum can post such appeals on the front page. Not everybody on this forum can do that.

My company has applied for H1-B visa for me under the master's quota and premium processing. On the lawyer's website I can see that my application was filed on 3/30 and probably received on or around April 2nd by USCIS.
However, I have not yet received a receipt notice for my application. I am aware that the premium processing deadline is fast approaching and I am getting a little concerned. Is there anybody else out there in a similar situation who has not yet received their receipt notification?
Can anyone advise me on my options? Is there a possibility that the application could have been lost in the mail or something else? Can I re-apply since the master's quota has not yet been filled?
Pls advise.......

I am EB3-I (pd 02 retrogressed) but was interested in this discussion so i emailed my lawyer about it. She said, historically the last month of the fiscal year has the most approvals as they try to clear as much as they can. You will see a lot more approvals from next week or sept 2nd week.
.......assuming there are still remaining visa numbers. It so happened last few of years that USCIS was sitting on their hands until last month. Is it the case this year ?

Thanks a lot to all members for being with us in this struggle. We have tasted our first big success this year. Credit goes to each and every IV member. We were all affected by the visa bulletin fiasco and this is our victory. This is a victory for all our members and we must rejoice.
IV had worked very hard and had been pushing for this in the background. Our flower campaign, rally and other advocacy efforts all came together and helped us at a crunch time. We thank members that sent flowers and also walked in the San Jose heat for 4 hours. All that really shows our commitment to this cause.
We are happy that our efforts are successful and IV has been able to make a difference. Please also know that during this effort, IV was extremely active and decision makers heard our voice. We cannot give out all the details but what IV members should know is that these efforts should make each one of us proud and what we can do if we have a firm resolve. We were also the first to break this news even before anyone else or media could, and continued to update our members as time passed.
IV also thanks its contributing members and it is because of their contributions we were able to continue this effort. Many thanks to the members that are contributing now after this good news.
Please continue your support for this organization and be an integral member of this ever growing community, so that this journey can continue and we can end retrogression and have immigrationvoice as our voice.

I think there would be a substantial relief if unused visas are reallocated to oversubscribed countries as in 2003/2004.
Also the 'side' flow might help immensely.
As I stated earlier only a US Citizen can petition USCIS for release of information.
All we can do is speculate.

And I expect people here to have enough integrity to let us (ROW) know if they intend to pursue the interests of the oversubscribed countries only, at the expense of the interests of the ROW.
Yes...The orgnization is about increasing the total pie and the overflow to India/china happens only after the ROW needs are complete...So your interests are taken care of...
