How do you think it is going to make an EB3 feel who has been here just about as much time as you have been but is still waiting for his date to get current so he can expect some action?
When people here report their GC approval they do it because it helps others who are waiting know what their filing dates, PD, etc was.

I am with you guys too. I know the battle is still not won. Getting EAD and AP is good but having GC is much better especially when you are paying 50% tax (atleast in my case) for no permanent status and the feeling of uncertainty when you visit your folks back home.

Same situation happened to myfather. He attenede visitor visa interview. VO told him that he will be getting passport in a week. But we waited for more than 10 days. When we checked online status, address in VFS was wrong. So it went to wrong address.
Call VFS customer service. customer service is really good.They can help you to get the passport to ur correct address.

Lets move on and focus on this main topic...
Here are my observations.. Correct me if I am wrong..
1. L1 option for IT is essentially killed
2. Small IT companies will limit the headcount to 50 per company. It doesn't cost much to have more than one company. So no major changes to H1B Desi companies.
3. Most of the big American companies will not offer new H1B with 180 days, since most of them would have had layoffs.
4. Most IT companies will start spending a lot on lawyers. So they will be rich. There will be lot of audits.
5. Companies will complete PERM and I140 before getting a guy onsite, only if people are really interested in coming to USA any longer.
6. Need more clarity on where H1B outsourcing will be stopped...
Good recap. This bill is not about liberating employees. This bill is to kill H1Bs and L1s irrespective of whether the company is a consulting company or a direct employer.
Net result ? more outsourcing. Big outsourcing firms have enough experienced employees on their payroll to do outsourcing effectively.
If this bill passes, it will be a shameful day for USA.

There will be always fear that good people also will be impacted. If the person and company are geneuine then they can provide enough documentation to escape from regulation. If the person is good and company is bad then he can change the company.
I did not see any opposition from lawyers website for this except IV. Most lawyer sites advise employers to prepare proper documentation to tackle this
You did not miss anything. Those affected are bodyshop people who abuse the system. This memo is really good for those of us who do not support abuse. If these abusers get kicked out at POE and their I140 and I485 are denied, it may make more room for those of us who have not cheated the system. If my application is in Q behind these abusers, then I surely want these guys kicked out.

Firstly, I am not a lawyer and I would recommend that you get a lawyer to help out.
As mentioned before this is a civil lawsuit and not a crimial lawsuit. Impact on GC should not be a factor but consult an immigration lawyer.
Now depending on the state law you should not be liable for Cars2 through Cars7. It could easily be argued that they did not leave a safe distance between them and hence the ripple effect. What the insurance determines is the fault is not necessarily how the law would interpret it. So if you insurance of any of the car insurance assign percentages of fault, it is pretty much based on their calculations. Did you recieve a traffic citation? If so did it indicate that you were at fault for all the subsequent accidents? Did you contest the citation? If so what was the outcome. If you contested the citation and got the charges dropped you have a stronger case against each of the other plaintiffs.
Try to settle out of court and get the lawyers to drop the case. The way you do that is to claim that you don't have any money. Remember the lawyers for each of the plaintiffs have done an asset check on you and they know how much you have. Although the judge could request that each of the transactions to reverse. Do the following:

I think many a times we over analyze things. It does not matter what the common people think about legal immigrants. Most people do not care. Even if they do, it does not affect us in any way, because rules are made by politicians not by men in the streets. And most polticians do care about immigrants, but only the illegals ones, because it is their future vote bank. For legals the only hope is companies like Microsoft, with a big fat wallet. Just pray that the economy keeps going at the current pace or else there could more trouble for us.
Leadership or Money is not issue for getting results. Why there is so much oppositon to H1b and GC increase? There is a fear in certain american people that they may lose job to the low wage H1b people. Is anyone either corportions or Pro-immigrants trying to remove the fear? Is skill bill has any protection to american workers? We want to increase to h1b or gc without botherng the impact. Now USA really need more h1bs and gcs. But are we suggesting anything when job growth stops or recession happens? Rememember so many people were laid off between 2000 to 2003 including H1b people and Americans but that time also most of 195k h1b was used. I knew lot of people

All the members in this forum please start taking active part in determining your future your families future and your kids futures.. please do not be short sighted or procrastinate. Take Action NOW, we can do this, please encourage one more person to join in and contribute, talk to other people who are not aware of our plight and educate them, contact your local lawmakers, be active on the forums, support the core members and each others, come on now guys.. may be all of us cant do every thing but try some things at some of the times and some other things some other times :) -- does that make sense .. I wish I was very rich I would have made a HUGE donation to IV to fight for their cause... I really respect the core members for their tenacity, dedication and inner strength to carry on this effort.. admist so much uncertainity and so many obstacles .. and the best part is .. most of the people who will benifit from it dont want to do much about it ..... ok ..
