For PMP I think, you need to take some courses, I had taken some courses at Berkeley Online on project management, these courses count towards PMP.
They also have in class courses, if you are interested.
Better to do something than nothing.

Boy, almost everyone here feels the foreigners are not wanted. Reminds me of how I used to told by "friendly" (bhadralok) folks in Calcutta's (now Kolkata) buses : Go back to your own "desh"! You come here and take our jobs. At that time it meant your Dad has taken our jobs. Nothing I could do then,and nothing we can do now. Just ignore these folks. Chances are they are the laziest people to be found who blame everyone but themselves for failure.

Education isn't the end all / know it all, when it comes to getting your job done. Thought and those brain cells count. indian outsourcers have not intrerest in GC- why should they? After GC they lose their stranglehold on the employees...all they want is more H1Bs...
And on this issue too (h1B), they may actually end up hurting themselves, given the current climate in the US. Its too bad (and really unfair) that our issues are usually linked with the H1B issue...:(

I thought EB2 vs EB3 is mainly determined by what your job requires.. You may have a Masters but if your JD does not require one, the company cannot file you on EB2.
The job must qualify for EB2 first, with at least min prevailing wage!
Which means BS+5 yrs of Progressive Exp or MS as min requirement.

Almost all Hyderabad house hold has one or more members live in US, who save atleast 15l/year and invest a lot in homeloand which would translate into sustainable stability in AP,India.
Unless US govt. declares bankruptcy, AP real estate would not burst so it would be safe to invest in AP.....
I feel you guys are barking the wrong tree altogether. I agree that there will be a slow down in the real estate market. No question about it. But not the segment you guys are arguing abt. Only 10% of the NRIs can afford a house worth more than 50 Lakhs. I am being conservative here. So the upscale realestate market is not fueled by NRI money. Its the black money in india.
There is a lot of black money in India. Real estate bubble in india is definitely because of that money. It will not correct as much as US for sure!

This is applicable when 140 has been approved. If 485 is retrogressed then you will get 3 year extension. If it's current you will get 1 year extension. Guess depends on luck. For e.g if some one has applied for extension in July he/she will now get only 1 year. I found this in a lawyer's chat transcripts.
yes i believe so. i applied my 8th yr h1 ext on may 16 and requested 3 yrs ext. with receipt date may 22. in june my 485 was current. filed for 485 end of june. file prob. reached there on july 2nd. fiasco announcement. july 17th mess is patched up saying dates are current. on july 18th i get a response from atty saying i got 1 yr ext. even though 3 yrs were requested. this is because my dates were current in june & july when they processed h1 ext. but it's a pain to process h1 ext each year based on 1 yr ext.

Exactly same thing is going on with me, getting a soft LUD almost every day! (to be precise three times since they received my RFE response). Not sure what's going on?
Ok here is my experience,
had a hard LUD and received RFE for 325A and birth certificates,
Replied to RFE - USCIS received the mail on the 8th, same day in the evening, received a hard LUD saying, RFE response received and is under process.
Till today, I have been seeing soft LUD on our case, I dont know what is going on !!!

How can people write this kind of information. Even I have come through and Indian company and I used to pay all taxes here which includes, Federal, Social, State etc.,
This should end. People here should know that we are paying all taxes. And we are paying Social Security tax as well. Because of retrogression we don't yet know if we would get our green card. We still pay for it and we don't take a dime of it if we have to go back to India.
We are helping the elders to have regular pay and this is what we hear? If there is a way as our friend said we should confront this legally.
