If at all this 'news' is true -this may be just something so-called internal matter. Best interpretion of this 'news' is: They may have assigned available visa#s to approvable petitions just as they did before 2nd July07 bulletin, where people kept getting approvals well into Oct07.
So, ALL THE BEST to lucky ones who are 'pre-adjudicated'. How else you can explain Sep VB, which is yet to start from 9/1.

There are few reasons for that. 1) This is just a workflow change and an internal procedural change for the USCIS. 2) There is no need for any additional incentive for the government as this is in effect not taking anything extra from the US soil in terms of opportunity etc. 3) Any addition of fee requires administration to get it approved through the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and it will make this a legislative affair. That means the whole assumption of getting it through admin fix becomes invalid. 4) In any case, if administration wants to make some extra money from us, they will come up with that proposal.

I was just thinking and then this came up on me . How about sending a poster along with the letter campaign. I can contribute atleast four posters. They do not have to be full size posters ..can be just A4 size pamphlets kinds. We can just print them in color printer and send them along with the letters. These posters may make it to the press also as they will be funny and spicy for news. Actually, we can send copy of our letters to press as well along with our posters. If we make about 10 such posters, we can send one random poster along with the letter.

What an intellectually bankrupt person you are. If in 25 yrs time, someone who would bring skills that improve America's economic competitiveness and strengthens this country's overall quality of life is being brought here by a Lear jet, why would I crib over that, saying I only came in first class? I would roll out the red carpet, it would not be about me, it is about what that person is bringing and the need for it here that determines this. What don't you get in that?

Our problem is that we do not want to accept this news. Unless we receive some confirmed news to contrary we should not blame someone who might have shared this news with us in good faith. Let's try to find out the truth first.
It may be right. One of my congresswomen assistants called up USCIS and they were told that due to many apps, there is lot of confusion and they will get back to her in week's time. Not sure but looks like USCIS/DOS has boned this up again :-)

Thank you from the bottom of a mother's heart.....My son was aging out and now he is SAFE! For the first time in a long, long time I know my family will remain intact and that means the world to me and them.
Thanks to every last one of you who participated in flower campaigns, wrote letters and emails, wrote personal stories, contacted media, marched in the SJ rally, came up with creative ideas to garner attention for our cause.....you are all awesome.....Thank you, thank you, thank you :)

I agree farming is fun! I did farming when I was young back in INDIA!
Recently I toured entire US except a few states by road. I saw people doing farming in huge lands like other professions. I saw one community from india owning lots of motels/hotels! To my surprise 20/25 motels we stayed were owned by people of indian origin and most were immigrants.
To all who claim to be stuck in GC queue I strongly suggest a US road trip. It will show you parts of USA which you have not seen as well as relax ur mind.

I grow different kind in my backyard. It all depends on the size of your backyard and which zone you live in states. I live in virginia. By this August end /september first week summer crop will end. I grow tomatoes(30 plants), Mint, snake guard, water melons (15 plants), cantaloupes(10 plants), carrots, okra, spinach , chillis. Its fun and hard work too. You need to dig the soil, mix with top soil or garden soil and cultivate it. Every week fertilize it. This is my first year gardening. I have around 3000 square ft of back yard. i do not know what to do with that. I cannot maintain Lawn in back yard. So I decided to grow vegetables.
I am eagerly waiting for my fall garden..I am planning to grow tulips,beets,cilantro,carrots,potato,peas etc., If I can get same space for garden In India and work place just 3 miles from home , I can happily go back to India.
